About Boyden

Boyden has worked in environmental planning and design for over 30 years. He has been a Director of Boffa Miskell since 1987.

An experienced landscape architect and project manager, he has worked on development and infrastructure projects, land use and resource management studies, open space assessments, land rehabilitation and design projects for public, corporate and private clients throughout New Zealand. He is also an experienced expert witness, presenting evidence to council and Environment Court hearings.

Boyden has undertaken landscape resource studies for territorial authorities, and landscape and visual impact assessments for many types of development projects – coastal subdivisions, rural lifestyle developments, wind farms, transmission lines, quarries, tourist resorts, and new highways and roading projects.

Before joining Boffa Miskell in 1986, Boyden worked mainly in conservation and landscape protection, reserve and open space planning and management.
