Catherine has worked in planning and resource management since 1987, and has held senior positions in both local government and consultancy.
Drawing on her knowledge of the statutory planning and the resource consent process, she has extensive experience in the preparation and evaluation of numerous resource consents and assessments of environmental effects within both the regional and district planning contexts. She has project managed a number of complex resource consent applications particularly for major industry infrastructure and energy sector developments. She also regularly undertakes site assessment reports and advises on consent acquisition strategies.
Catherine also has strengths in policy and plan formulation and assessment. She has acted for both public agencies and industry sector groups advising on policy development at the regional and district levels.
