About Heather

Heather joined the Boffa Miskell team in 2012 and since then has been involved with several ongoing ecological restoration projects for Watercare, working with engineering consultants. She has also worked on the Rakau Rangatira project for Department of Conservation, assessing the feasibility of design options for potential visitor infrastructure and the impact of visitor behaviour with consideration to managing kauri dieback disease.

In addition to her knowledge of ecological restoration and native plants, Heather has a thorough understanding of the Resource Consent process and environmental mitigation requirements. She is skilled in interpreting Conditions of Consent to ensure that the intended outcome is reached, with consideration of the Client’s needs.

Her strong oral, written and visual communication skills enable her to connect with a wide range of audiences. Heather has recently taught and coordinated the Professional Practice course for the BLA programme at Unitec, which enables her to engage with the next generation of landscape architects.
