About Tim

Tim is an urban designer with a landscape architecture background and has been with Boffa Miskell since 2006. Prior to this he has worked extensively across the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, mostly within architecturally-based practices.

Masterplanning is Tim’s strength. He relishes the combination of technical leadership, to achieve effective land use, built form and transport integration, alongside the soft skills of workshop facilitation and engagement processes. As an integral part of this, higher density housing is a specialty area of Tim’s, with involvement in a wide range of policy, design and assessment work across mixed use, mixed tenure and retirement development typologies.

The challenges of large, complex projects also motivate Tim. The Canterbury earthquake rebuild offered unique opportunities to work on local, contextually-based projects at an international scale. He has been involved in the design and assessment of several Blueprint anchor projects.
