Boffa Miskell's ecologists seek to find innovative and pragmatic solutions to ecological issues, based on sound applied science. They work with other professionals in multi-disciplinary teams to integrate the sustainable management of natural resources into project outcomes.

Our ecologists are recognised experts in applied ecology, including:

• Ecological evaluation of sites through field work, especially for consent applications made under the Resource Management Act;
• Project audits to evaluate ecological outcomes and advise on environmentally sound development options;
• Advice on environmentally appropriate ways of carrying out works e.g. river management or road development;
• Green engineering solutions seeking environmentally sound methods of providing infrastructure and services to the community, including low impact design solutions for managing soil and water;
• Educational resources for the general public e.g. guidelines, school resources;
• Restoration programmes for land disturbed by activities such as major developments, landfills or mineral extraction;
