Boffa Miskell names three Associate Partners

Consultants in planning, ecology and urban design are appointed Associate Partners

Dr. Leigh Bull: Leigh joined Boffa Miskell’s Wellington office in 2007 as a senior ecologist, and since then has worked on a range of projects, from Roads of National Significance to co-authoring the New Zealand threat classification list. Her experience in ecological monitoring, evaluation and assessment of effects has resulted in her giving evidence at hearings for many of the country’s most significant infrastructure and recovery projects.

Stuart Houghton: Stuart is an urban designer and landscape architect, based in the Auckland office. He joined Boffa Miskell in 2005, based in the Wellington office. After a transfer to Auckland, and then studying for his Masters in London, he has been based in Auckland for the past eight years. Several of Stuart’s projects have been recognised with awards from the NZPI and NZILA, including the 2015 NZILA Charlie Challenger Supreme Award, and 2015 Landscape Planning Award, for City East West Transport Study.

Chris Ferguson: Chris joined Boffa Miskell as a senior planner in 2015 and is primarily based in Queenstown. Chris has wide experience covering planning and resource management services, including policy development in relation to District Plans, and designations throughout each stage of the planning process. He has contributed to some of Queenstown’s most significant developments including Jacks Point, the Queenstown Lakes District Plan and the Kawarau Falls Bridge.

Partners play a leading role in the sustainability, growth and development of the company as trusted advisors to our clients.  In addition to their consultancy roles, partners also contribute to setting the overall company direction with the Board, and confirming key appointments and promotions.

Chief Executive Kerry Gupwell says, “Chris Ferguson, Leigh Bull and Stuart Houghton have more than demonstrated the qualities and values we look for in our Partners as well as being excellent ambassadors for the company. Chris is a highly regarded Planner and is a driving force behind growing our presence in Queenstown. Leigh is a highly respected and recognised ecologist. Her specialist expertise in avifauna makes her the ‘go to’ person for a number of clients and also fellow ecologists.  Stuart takes an active and on-going role in the transformation of Auckland, and has developed trusted advisor status in Urban Design and Transport planning. I am delighted to confirm the appointment of these three new Associate Partners.”
