Profile
Bron has a broad range of experience in landscape planning including assessment of landscape and visual effects for development proposals, site planning, and development of measures to avoid or mitigate effects of development. The landscape planning projects that Bron has worked on include large utility developments, rural subdivision and urban development proposals, as well as development of reserve management plans, design guidelines, land management plans and rehabilitation strategies.
Bron has worked on a diverse range of landscape design projects from small-scale residential work to large-scale industrial, and residential subdivisions, public works, parks and reserves, city gateways and wetland restoration projects.
Prior to joining Boffa Miskell Bron was self-employed as a landscape architect. Concurrently she carried out research and analysis for various projects for the Landscape Group at Lincoln University.
Expertise
Landscape assessment and planning
Evaluating landscape character and quality for regions, districts or developments. Advising on objectives and policies for the ongoing management of the landscape. Preparation and presentation of expert witness evidence at Consent hearings.
Visual assessment
Assessing the existing character and visual effects of proposed changes to specific landscapes. Advising on mitigation of effects, land development and land management policies.
Open space planning and development
Concept planning and design of parks and open spaces, in both rural and urban areas, for recreational and other uses.
Site planning
Advising on site selection and providing functional site layouts that are creatively responsive to the special features of the site, and the specific requirements of the client.
Landscape design and implementation
Conceptual design, master planning, detailed construction, planting design, schedules, contract documentation and costings, through to project implementation.
