Profile
Marc specialises in urban planning projects - from strategic to city or town scale urban design. He is an ‘integrator’ in the sense that he understands the complexity of urban environments and can bring together different disciplines to produce successful urban development projects or policy outcomes.
He can interpret the issues facing urban areas in ways that enable successful community and stakeholder interaction. Marc has developed sound methodologies for use in urban planning, from analysis to options evaluation, to urban capacity analysis to communication and presentation of project outcomes.
Marc utilises Boffa Miskell’s Digital Environment Services group for GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for city form and capacity modelling, preparation of visual simulations, and graphic presentation.
Marc is also an experienced statutory planner successfully working on complex urban projects to secure resource consents for projects. This includes the coordination and preparation of consent applications, and Plan Changes or Variations for District Plans for Councils. He has appeared at both Council and Environment Court hearings on many occasions.
