Profile

Morné is a Landscape Architect with a broad background in urban design, landscape architecture and construction detailing. He brings a holistic understanding of the built environment from strategic and large scale master planning projects through to detailed design, implementation and contract management.

Morné has 16 years experience as a Landscape Architect and Urban Designer. He has been involved in various retail, residential, golf community, commercial, industrial and eco-tourism developments in Southern Africa and abroad. He joined the Boffa Miskell team in Tauranga in 2007 and is discipline coordinator for the Landscape Architecture team in the Tauranga office.

Conceptual design, master planning, subdivision design, planting design, construction detailing, schedules of quantity, specifications, contract documentation and costings.

Urban design

Urban design inputs relating to large scale residential developments, golf estate communities, retail, industrial and public sector projects.

Project management

Coordinating the input of different technical disciplines for landscape architecture projects, supervision of construction works and contract administration.

Feasibility studies

Carrying out background research, site and strategic analysis to determine development opportunities and direction.

Public consultation

Working with communities, interest groups and stakeholders to facilitate discussion and positive outcomes through design and conflict resolution.

Open space planning and development

Concept planning and design of parks and open spaces in both suburban and urban areas.

Graphic communication

Preparing plans, simulations and illustrations of high quality for client presentations and reports to communicate design outcomes.
