Prestigious Appointments

Boffa Miskell encourages our professionals to take on wider leadership roles in their areas of expertise, sharing their knowledge and providing advice in order to foster and advance professional standards locally and nationally.

We are proud that members of our staff are appointed to prestigious advisory roles and to teaching roles from time to time. Our people have served on urban design panels, as design competition judges, and in teaching positions in landscape architecture and urban design. Current such appointments include:

Transmission Gully Planning Reference Group

Robert Schofield, Boffa Miskell Director and Environmental Planner is one of the advisors on the reference group, which was appointed to provide strategic planning advice on the designation, resource consent preparation and plan change phase of the major Transmission Gully roading project north of Wellington.

Curator / Advisor, Scape 2010 Christchurch Biennial of Art in Public Space

William Field, Boffa Miskell Principal and Landscape Architect, has been appointed to the group of three, who will select and work with artists to produce the public artworks for the SCAPE 2010 event.

Christchurch Urban Design Panel Members

The Urban Design Panel is a group of professionals who provide independent design reviews for both Christchurch City Council and private developers on the design aspects of new developments. Panelists were nominated by their national bodies or endorsed by members of the urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, property and planning professions. Two Boffa Miskell people regularly serve on the four-person panels, who are chosen from a pool of twelve members.
