Project Manukau Coastal and Foreshore Restoration
Project Manukau was one of New Zealand's largest construction projects ($451 million budget). It involved a major upgrade of the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant, including the removal of 500 hectares of oxidation ponds from Manukau Harbour and the rehabilitation of 13 kilometres of coastal foreshore.
Wynyard Quarter Sustainable Development Framework
The Wynyard Quarter, also known as the Tank Farm, is one of the last and largest areas of Auckland’s waterfront to be redeveloped. Boffa Miskell was engaged to prepare a sustainable development framework that will serve as the ‘blueprint’.

The Nuffield Street Precinct is a vibrant boutique retail destination in the fashion retail centre of Newmarket. Boffa Miskell was engaged by Westfield to prepare a concept design and construction drawings for the streetscape redevelopment.
Talbot Park Neighbourhood Revitalisation
Talbot Park comprises a four-hectare housing neighbourhood and 1-hectare public park that has recently undergone revitalisation under Housing New Zealand Corporation’s (HNZC) innovative 'Community Renewal' programme, 2002 - 2007.
New Brighton Residential Density Study
New Brighton is a seaside suburb on the east side of Christchurch where demand for higher density residential development has been increasing. The Christchurch City Council commissioned Boffa Miskell to study the capacity and desirability of increasing residential density in central New Brighton.

The 720-hectare Peacocke growth area of Hamilton City has been earmarked to absorb the next 25 years' predicted city expansion.
Te Apiti Wind Farm
The Te Apiti Wind Farm comprises 55 turbines located over 1,250 hectares of farmland in the Tararua district. It was the first wind farm to supply electricity to New Zealand’s national grid.
Pegasus New Town
Pegasus - a new township for 5,000 people – is under construction. Boffa Miskell has been involved with its planning and design since 1997.
Nelson/Richmond Urban Growth Strategy
Rapid household growth and increasing urbanisation is an issue in Nelson and adjacent Richmond. To address this issue the two district councils commissioned Boffa Miskell (with MWH) to undertake 20-year development studies for both urban areas.
University of Canterbury Campus
In 1998, Boffa Miskell was selected – through a design competition – to be the preferred landscape architect for future developments at the University of Canterbury campus.
LINZ Biosecurity Management
Boffa Miskell is providing biosecurity management services to Land Information New Zealand ('LINZ'). Our work with LINZ involves employing contractors who are skilled in both the techniques and delivery of plant and animal pest control. The works require the control of various pest species throughout New Zealand, predominately in the South Island.
