About Andrew

Andrew joined the Boffa Miskell Hamilton office in 2017. He has over seven years’ experience working in terrestrial and freshwater ecology, riparian management, land management, and biosecurity disciplines throughout New Zealand.

Andrew has worked closely with a wide range of clients including regional and district councils, crown research institutes, privately owned companies, Iwi groups, and a large number of community groups and private landowners.

His experience includes a range of ecological assessment, restoration, monitoring, mitigation and biosecurity projects. He has provided technical advice, developed and implemented biodiversity restoration and riparian management plans, conducted lizard surveys and salvage, captively managed lizards, and managed pest plant eradication and surveillance projects.

Andrew has unique experience in the analysis of local government integrated catchment management (land management, ecology, community groups, and pest management) business processes, assessing data capture requirements and standards, and software and database development to meet local and central government reporting requirements.

Andrew’s professional goals focus on the sustainable use of our natural resources by maintaining and enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem services.
