I'm passionate about both rural and urban landscapes and the integration of the natural environment. I've been involved in numerous district and regional landscape assessments, including identification of the coastal environment, natural character, and landscape values.

As an experienced landscape architect with a strong background in landscape planning, my strengths are focused toward landscape planning informing landscape evaluation and identification, open space network planning and landscape assessment. I'm also strongly interested in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) assessment.

Through my career I've been responsible for projects ranging from concept designs for open spaces and reserve management plans, through to detailed design and contract management.

As one of the early members of the Tauranga office, I am proud of how our team has shaped our landscapes. Our presence has grown over more than two decades during which I have been involved in significant urban developments, open space developments and city planning. Our influence and experience has extended outside of the Bay of Plenty to the Waikato, Hawkes Bay and Thames Coromandel.

Part of understanding environments is drawn from my varying voluntary roles for community organisations. I am dedicated to the profession of landscape architecture and for many years have provided service at the branch and national levels on the committees for New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Tuia Pito Ora (NZILA). I was incredibly honoured and humbled to be named a Fellow of the Institute at the 2023 Conference.
