Stephen joined Boffa Miskell in 2002 and has worked in various aspects of ecological management since 1983. He has extensive experience in biological survey and inventory, significance assessments and assessment of effects, applied ecology, and project management. Throughout his career, Stephen has prepared and implemented a wide range of management plans and restoration plans, has designed multi-year research projects, and conducted biological monitoring of completed projects.
Thorough understanding of conservation and resource management legislation has enabled him to conduct environmental impact assessments for a wide range of projects from small subdivisions to major infrastructure schemes. He appears regularly as an expert witness for consent hearings and at the Environment Court.
Working closely with many conservation and recreation NGO’s and local community groups, Stephen has advised on support of specific conservation initiatives, including feasibility assessments and on governance, fundraising, and project planning.
