Associate Principal and Principal promotions for 2026

We congratulate these five consultants from the Biosecurity, Ecology and Landscape Planning disciplines.

Landscape planner Hannah Wilson has been promoted to Associate Principal. Based in Christchurch, she has contributed to several landscape and natural character studies, with a keen interest in how climate change will continue to impact our coastal and terrestrial environments. These studies have informed several district and regional plans throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. In addition to working at a regional and district scale, Hannah is involved in infrastructure, residential, aquaculture, renewable energy, and tourism projects.

Adam Willets is a Biosecurity Consultant in the Whangārei office with over two decades' experience in biosecurity and biodiversity management. With a strong background in applied conservation and restoration, Adam advises a wide range of clients, including community groups, private clients and councils. Alongside this work, he has led field trials of new product development tools for predator control and ecological restoration as well as supported teams in ecological monitoring of native species as part of development mitigation and offsetting opportunities. Adam has been promoted to Associate Principal.

Based in the Christchurch office, Beth Williamson has been promoted to Associate Principal. She is a Biosecurity Consultant and has a particular interest in the distribution and management of invasive weed species. As well undertaking field work, health and safety auditing, and contractor management, Beth plays a substantial role in the creation of strategic management plans, operational plans and annual reports for a range of clients, including Department of Conservation, Land Information New Zealand and Marlborough District Council. 

Ecologist Jeremy Garrett-Walker has been promoted to Principal. Based in the Tauranga office he is primarily involved in freshwater and, increasingly, wetland ecosystems. Jeremy provides a wide range of ecology-related inputs to roading, land development, and infrastructure projects. His role involves providing technical expertise as well as project management, ranging from pre-consent assessments and design input to implementation and monitoring.

Basin the Whangārei office, Dr Helen Nathan has been promoted to Associate Principal. Helen has a strong academic background in general ecology and conservation, with several peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals, textbooks, and conference proceedings. She has expertise in invasive species behaviour and management. Along with her project work, Helen is undertaking related research on pest management, including a study of Māori perspectives on cat management in Aotearoa, drawing from Iwi and Hapū Management Plans, academic articles, and reports.
