End-of-Year Promotions 2025

Fifteen promotions were made across the Design, Planning and Science disciplines, as well as the Technical Services team, at the end of 2025.
Auckland-based ecologist Dr Ashley Flood has been promoted to Associate Principal level. Ashley earned her doctorate in Marine Science at Auckland University, and has expanded her expertise to include freshwater ecology and wetland health.
Ecologists Matthew Turner, based in Christchurch, and Vincent Jeon from the Wellington office, have been promoted to Senior Professional. Matt specialises in herpetology and is especially passionate about New Zealand's native lizards; Vincent is an ornithologist, with particular experience in shorebirds.
Tim Currie, also a Wellington-based ecologist, advances from graduate to Professional level. Tim is a marine ecologist who largely undertakes marine and freshwater assessments, monitoring and surveys.
Urban designers Anastasia Turapina and Sean Eustace have been promoted to Senior Professional. Based in Auckland, Anastasia has a bachelor's degree in architecture but has moved into the broader context of urban design and planning. In the Christchurch office, Sean has contributed to a diverse range of projects from large scale housing and wetland masterplans and is particularly interested in BIM and carbon-smart design.
Landscape planner Sin Man Cheng has advanced to Professional level. Based in Christchurch, she undertakes various landscape, seascape and natural character studies, landscape and visual effects assessments, including aerial filming and graphic elements.
Planners Niamh Priest from Tauranga and Melissa Harvey from Auckland have been promoted to Senior Professional and Professional, respectively. Niamh has been involved in work related to Tauranga City Council's Plan Change 33 and Plan Change 35; Melissa is particularly interested in the positive effects biodiversity has in cities and projects and policies that are committed to preventing biodiversity loss.
GIS Specialists Hannah Cole in Auckland and Laurissa Jackson in Christchurch have advanced to Level 3 and Level 2, respectively. Hannah primarily works with the science disciplines developing tools for field collection, analysis, optimised trap placement, and ecosystem mapping. Laurissa works with a range of disciplines, often developing interactive applications using ArcGIS Dashboards and Experience Builder.
Auckland-based landscape architect Nicole Tune has been promoted to Senior Professional. Nicole has worked on school master planning, open space and playspace design projects, as well as private housing developments, infrastructure and aged care facilities.
Three landscape architects have been promoted from graduate to Professional level. Ella Wood in the Christchurch office has been involved in many regional projects with an aspect of environmental restoration. In the Auckland office, Hamish Murphy and Gwen Smart have contributed to a wide range of projects from residential and commercial developments to public realm and open space design.
