With over ten years’ experience across both consultancy and public-sector planning roles in New Zealand, I have developed strong expertise in preparing resource consent applications, undertaking site feasibility and due diligence assessments, and providing strategic planning advice to private developers, government agencies and other stakeholders. I lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinating technical inputs to deliver practical and well-considered outcomes.

Recent experience includes leading the resource consent application for a 200-hectare solar farm in Hawke’s Bay, playing a key role in the redevelopment of Te Puea Marae in Auckland, and leading Fire and Emergency New Zealand with resource consenting for a new live fire training facility in Auckland. This work has involved coordinating multidisciplinary teams, leading engagement with different councils, reviewing technical reports and managing information requests.

In addition to my consultancy background, I bring valuable public-sector insight through my experience processing resource consent applications for multiple councils across New Zealand. This has strengthened my understanding of statutory requirements, decision-making frameworks, and the expectations of consent authorities, allowing me to efficiently navigate consent processes and anticipate potential challenges.

Drawing on my experience across both local government and private consultancy, I am skilled at balancing regulatory requirements with client goals to achieve practical and effective planning outcomes.
