Before joining Boffa Miskell, I worked at Stats NZ supporting the publication of national environmental reports, primarily through coding and analysis. Then I spent seven years in South Korea, including five years teaching English and two years completing a Master of Landscape Architecture.

During my studies, I applied my technical background to a range of spatial research projects, including heatwave vulnerability modelling in Korean cities and remote monitoring of conflict-induced land cover change in Ukraine. Living and studying in Korea strengthened my interest in urban liveability, and I am particularly motivated by projects that provide respite from the pressures of urban environments and help reduce the effects of urban heat islands.

I am looking forward to working across a variety of projects while continuing to build my understanding of landscape performance, including cooling, water purification, and wellbeing outcomes. I am particularly interested in how these functions can help address contemporary urban challenges such as extreme heat and social disconnection and contribute to creating resilient, cooler, and more restorative green spaces in cities.
