Business Services

I lead the visual communications service for the wider Boffa Miskell team. As the senior designer within the national communications team, I oversee all our design outputs. These include the layout and design of bid and report documents, sponsorship material and advertising, logo and branding design, and photography

I worked at Boffa Miskell early in my career and returned in 2010 after living in Samoa with my family. Some highlights over the past few years have been:

  • my ongoing relationship with the Tūpuna Maunga Authority. I led the print design of its award-winning Integrated Management Plan (2016) and Strategies (2017)
  • producing the award-winning ‘Bridging the Gap: NZTA Urban Design Guidelines’ and ‘Landscape Guidelines’ publications for the New Zealand Transport Association (NZTA)
  • overseeing the visual design of our new website.

I love to collaborate with the wider team both locally and nationally, it provides me the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while getting to know our diverse and growing company and our people.

Much of graphic design is storytelling, and weaving meaning behind the process and outcome. Branding and logo design is what I enjoy the most — turning thoughts into something visually identifiable while staying true to the project or product.

I'm inspired by my colleagues and clients, and I'm proud to enhance, complement or add value to projects we work on collaboratively.
